Congratulations to the Penguin Surf Life Saving Club for being named the Club of the Year at the National Surf Life Saving Australia 2020 Awards for Excellence.
In a big compliment to the club and the work of its volunteers, this is the very first time a Tasmanian club has taken out the national award.
The North West club was one of six finalists from around the country, and I am delighted that their dedication to the local community has been acknowledged on a national level.
