President Kiir's full speech at closing of National Dialogue conference

President Salva Kiir has praised the national dialogue conference as a legitimate process that expresses the honest views of a broad cross section of our society.
Closing the 15-day conference in Juba earlier today, President Kiir said the recommendations that have come out of the process must be harmonized with the permanent constitution making process provided for in the 2018 revitalized peace agreement and should not replace the sanctity of the agreement.
Some of the striking recommendations to have come out of the conference include the proposal for a two-term Presidential term limit, return to the 32 states and relocation of the national capital from Juba to Ramciel.
The national conference started in Juba on November 3, 2020 under the theme: “Come lets dialogue, come let’s heal our nation.”
