Ministry of General Education and GESS program launch second round of cash-transfers

The Ministry of General Education and the Girls Education South Sudan (GESS) program, will today launch the second round of the 2020 GESS Cash Transfers to schoolgirls. 

All schoolgirls from Primary five to Senior four across the country will receive direct cash transfers to enable them to purchase the basic supplies they need to keep them enrolled in school. 

GESS Team Leader, Akuja De Garang says girls in candidate classes will receive more money. 

He explained that the transfers will be handed out to the girls while they are out of school due to the coronavirus pandemic.
