Creative arts in South Sudan soon to be protected

South Sudan is in the process of drafting a copyright policy to protect the creative arts industry in the country 

The policy is being developed by Ministry of Culture, Museums and National Heritage in collaboration with Partners and UNESCO finance by EU.
 
Deng Nhial, one of the partners, says the copyright policy will protect musicians, artists and the music and film industry from infringement and unfair use of their intellectual property.  

Nhial says the first draft of the policy will be ready in January.
