Veep Igga: TNLA should be reconstituted before the end of 2020

Vice President James Wani Igga says the reconstitution of the Transitional National Legislature should be done before the end of the year. 

The Vice President in charge of the economic cluster, says the legislators have a critical task of reforming laws and enacting bills needed for the full implementation of the peace agreement.  

Vice President Igga was speaking at the closure of a two-day validation meeting for the Public Finance Management Act, 2011 and the National Audit Chamber Act 2011, aimed at providing information on the process of establishing transparent and accountable systems to manage national resources.  

The Chairperson of the Constitutional Amendment Committee, Gichira Kibera, outlined some of the proposals to strengthen the bills to enhance public accountability.
