1-on-1 with Zuri Murrell, MD: Colorectal Cancer in Black Patients

In this edition of "Oncology Peer Review On-The-Go," CancerNetwork spoke with Zuri Murrell, MD, for a conversation regarding the rising rates of colorectal cancer for younger individuals, as well as the significantly higher incidence and death rates for black patients of this cancer type. 
 
Murrell, a colorectal surgeon and cancer specialist at Cedars-Sinai, explained that obesity, diabetes, smoking, and a family history of colorectal cancer may all play a role in the increasing rate.
