Friday, December 11: The Toy Drive

Dec 11, 2020, 07:39 PM

Chaz and AJ's McDermott Chevrolet and Lexus of New Haven Toy Drive kicked off with a news segment about vaccines coming to CT, and an angry AJ who felt attacked by a rendition of the National Anthem. (0:00)

At the end of every week, Chaz and AJ play the best flubbles from every show. This week's montage was the first time someone challenged AJ's flubble crown. (11:53)

Mitch Hallock, The King of the Nerds, did a nerd-filled rendition of the "The Night Before Christmas." (19:09)

Mayor Pete Hess of Naugatuck contributed to the Toy Drive with a spoken rendition of a Shirley Temple song, and admitted to having his eye on a specific auction item. (22:48)

Chef Brian Averna has been friends with Chaz and AJ for decades, and normally fills a different role for them during the Toy Drive. This year, he performed an original song, all about the show's four members. Were they happy with it? (27:09)

Kevin from McDermott Chevrolet and Lexus was on to talk about this year's Toy Drive, and how excited everyone was to make a difference in a difficult year. Chaz offered his final thoughts, before the surprising total was announced by Drew. (35:58)
