The Money behind AC Monza with Alex Stewart

50 not out. The Scouted Football Podcast reaches its 50th episode.

For the half-century, Joe is joined by The Athletic's Alex Stewart to talk us through a little-known story outside Italy, that of AC Monza, who've surged up the leagues and are on the cusp of Serie A football for the first time in their history.

They're owned and backed by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi - once of 'bunga bunga' fame - and ex-AC Milan director Adriano Galliani, a Monza boy born-and-bred. In amongst all that, they have made some interesting young additions, as well as experienced duo Mario Balotelli and Kevin Prince Boateng, to their squad as they look to breach the gap between Serie B and Serie A. It's a cracker.
