Lie #60: You Have to Be Perfect to Start

In Lie #60, I’m sharing an honest story of my not-so-perfect start to writing. I’ve always struggled with feeling mediocre, and getting underwhelming reviews to my first book seemed to confirm my inadequacy. The good news is that through Christ we can become strengthened by the things that come against us. 

The lie that we must be perfect to start keeps us from moving forward. We get so concerned about how people are going to rate us that we forget about the only opinion that matters. When we do what God has called us to do, He will take care of the rest.
