The chairperson of the information committee in parliament expects that the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA) will be reconstituted when the appointment of all state governments has been completed.

Paul Yohannes Bonju says the existing MPs are occupying the seats legally and continue to represent their constituents until new lawmakers have been selected by the parties in accordance with the peace agreement.

“We are not afraid of the reconstitution; some of us will remain, and others will go”, Bonju said.

MP Bonju also defended expenses on the lawmakers, saying the $40,000 that was extended to each MP in 2018 was necessary to buy vehicles.

He spoke to Radio Miraya’s Sebit William in this 40” interview.
