Safe In The Basement | True Ghost Stories

What happens when a group of kids looking to find relief from the heat in the basement find themselves in the middle of a paranormal meltdown?
Here is a preview of the story.
“One of these August days was just far too hot to be outside, and J was asleep, so we could not be upstairs or on the main floor as C and I would make far too much noise and wake J from her much-needed nap. We were therefore placed in the basement. Their basement, as I remember it now, was partially finished, and the portion that was not finished was the laundry and storage area behind a closed door. They had carpeted floors, but the carpet was more noticeably short, grey and uncomfortable style but served its purpose of covering the concrete. There was a small closet where they kept all the board games, but we decided that neither of us was in the mood for any of those. The best part of the basement was the tv area. There were two couches, one larger than the other by a full cushion width; they were a blue-grey plaid patterned fabric-covered design. We had decided to build some simple pillow forts from the couch cushions and pillows and had begun to watch some tv.”
