“After that, we just had the craziest time, my mother got really depressed, lost so much weight that she could barely stand on her own, her parents and uncle came to the states to help care for her, we also got a new house during this time and rented out the one we were in. I went into a crazy depression myself lock myself in my room;* trigger warning* I got so bad I was self-harming. The new house was just that, new, BRAND NEW like built from the ground up, but if we were all downstairs, we could hear footsteps above the living room, which was my parent's bathroom since the whole house was carpeted. People thought we were joking until they would come over, be home alone, and hear it. The house never felt heavy or dark. I wasn't afraid to eat cereal downstairs at 2:30 in the morning *I also suffer from insomnia* but that was just at the start, fast forward some years I'm in high-school and my mom started working overnight in a factory, now one day, she was upstairs sleeping and my cousin and he children were staying with us and we were all downstairs, and I hear my cousin gasp and I look towards the stairs and she comes to my mom, pale as shit barely able to walk so we rush over, and my cousin gets to her first and grabs her and immediately let go. My mom's hands were ice cold.”
