Despite this movie utterly vanishing from our cultural memory, it was the fourth top-grossing movie of 2008! Lots of people went to see Will Smith drunk fly, redeem himself, and then deal with a whole second plot because the movie realized it wasn't long enough yet!
This week's recommendations: Robin went on a tear and recommends Judas & The Black Messiah, Nomadland and Sound of Metal. (She's got mixed feelings about I Care a Lot.) Kahmeela found satisfying spookiness in Netflix's series The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel. And Sean is into the Albert Brooks classic Defending Your Life, and is concerned after seeing the Billie Eilish documentary.
