As this week is Glaucoma Week Connect Radio’s Toby Davey chats with Joanna Bradley, head of Support Services at Glaucoma UK to find out why it is so important for glaucoma patients to attend their clinic appointments and to find out a bit more about the eye condition.
Joanna also outlined the main ways that glaucoma can affect someone's vision, why it is so important to have regular eye tests to check eye pressure which is one of the main signs of the condition. If one of your close family has glaucoma and you are over 40 living in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland you are entitled to free eye tests (eye tests are free for everyone in Scotland).
