Although it is a week after International Women’s Day, it is still Women’s History Month and the horrific events of the past week, past months and throughout history have only highlighted the way in which folks have banded upon IWD as a way to exercise their performativity, make money (capitalism) and co-opt a movement which is rooted in socialism and indeed protest.
