Wytham Woods in lockdown

Over the Christmas period in the UK, we remained locked down, unable to visit friends or relatives, and walking out in nature became even more important as it was one of the few safe - and legal - activities to do over this period.

We'd already recorded Oxford's Wytham Woods during Easter 2020, when they were at their quietest in lockdown number one, so we returned during December to record the forest soundscape during winter.

Recorded by Cities and Memory.
