Art Meant To Be Touched

Season 1, Episode 683,   Mar 26, 2021, 04:46 PM

Annie Fennymore is an award-winning blind artist who was told that by the age of 40 she would completely lose her sight.  In response, she created a unique form of tactile art which she's been showcasing all across the UK, through exhibitions, workshops, collaborations and public talks.

Having founded Blind Alley Art, Annie now uses her tactile art to encourage anyone who is worried their sight loss might be a barrier to art, to not give up hope.

Annie spoke with RNIB Connect Radio's Paulina Kuchorew.

Image shows Annie's 'Poppies' painting, in which she used muffin forms to create the bright red flowers atop a striking black background.
