The Light House | True Ghost Stories

Jun 02, 2021, 09:00 AM

A group takes a visit to a lighthouse, only to discover that they are not the only ones present.
Here is a preview of the story.
“As the team came to a stop at the lighthouse, we all piled out.  The guide began to tell the story; this was the second lighthouse built, the first was built on the water’s edge and was destroyed by beach erosion due to a hurricane, so this one was moved further inland by the light keeper’s house.  He had taken care of the old lighthouse and was to oversee the new one.  He lived in the house with his wife and two young daughters.  A wagon on rails was built to pull the coquina rocks up from the ships that brought them in to be used for the building of the new lighthouse.  One day the girls decided it would be fun to ride the wagon down to the water; unfortunately, the brake was broken, and both girls were thrown into the water and drowned.  It is said they can be seen on the swings now in the park across the street and heard running and laughing around the yard in front of the house.  As everyone was intently listening to the story, we were standing at the back of the group, having known the story.  Then suddenly, all three of us turned at the same time to look at the upstairs window in the light keeper’s house, not knowing why only to see a little girl looking down at us.  “
