The virus that Emma caught in Vietnam caused a brain aneurysm which in turn has severely affected Emma’s eyesight.

In today's The Longest Battle Emma is chatting with rugby legend Alex Corbisiero who hung up his rugby boots in 2016, following reoccurring injuries that lead to his early retirement from the sport.

In The Longest Battle with Alex Corbisiero, Emma finds out about Alex’s background and how he got into professional rugby and playing for the Lions, the injuries that forced him to retire in 2016, how he coped with the pressure of always having to perform as a rugby player, dealing with anxiety when he was playing and how he copes now, finally before Alex gives some advice to other people in a similar situation to his own he reflects back on his rugby career now that he has retired from the sport.
