Among the headlines for Tuesday, 4th May, 2021, the Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered Eric Tan Kim Loong, who is alleged to be an associate of fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low, to pay income tax of RM67,996,891.87 to the Malaysian government after failing to enter an appearance in a suit filed against him by the government through the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
Also, at least twenty people were killed, including children, and 49 were hospitalised when a railway overpass collapsed onto a busy road in Mexico City on Monday night. Rescue efforts for potential survivors were paused shortly after the accident due to the risk that more of the Metro overpass and train cars could slam down onto the road.
