Group Therapy: The Talk

Should "the talk" only be given by a parent? Our listener is MAD that her husband's work peer "Jerry" gave "the talk" to their 13 year-old son instead of her husband. She didn't want to do it herself, but certainly didn't want Jerry doing it!
