Sight Loss charity Fight For Sight UK is funding new research that will look at gene editing, with an end goal of repairing damage to the retina.

If successful, it could mean that people with a wide range of sight loss conditions could have their sight improved or restored.

RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Dr Jacqui Van Der Spuy, from University College London, to learn more about the research.
