Known on radio as a natural communicator, Mike broadcast on Capital before his well-remembered days on Radio 1, where he hosted lunchtimes, before returning to present the breakfast show. TV beckoned, and Mike was one of the few in radio to handle both mediums with ease. Mike died on August 1st 2014, aged just 59.
