Daily Dose @ 5: M'sia adds 5,671 new COVID-19 cases, Biden plans to donate 500 mln Pfizer vaccines to poor countries

AMONG the headlines for Thursday, 10 June, 2021, Malaysia’s daily COVID-19 tally dipped to 5,671 today, making for a total of 639,562 infections since the pandemic began.

Selangor is on the lead with 1,510 new cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (769), Sarawak (631), Negri Sembilan (593), Johor (524), Kedah (309), Kelantan (262) and Sabah (233).

Meanwhile, Melaka reported another 184 cases, Penang (166), Perak (143), Pahang (112), Terengganu (108), Labuan (106), Putrajaya (18) and Perlis (3).


Also, US President Joe Biden is set to announce Thursday that the United States has bought 500 million doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine to donate to COVAX, which is distributing vaccines to countries that cannot afford to buy enough shots.
