Security concerns delay resumption of Government-SSOMA talks in Rome

The start of the next round of talks between the government and the South Sudan Opposition Movement Alliance (SSOMA), have been delayed by concerns about the security of delegates. 

Speaking to Radio Miraya on the line from Rome, Paolo Implagliazzo the Secretary-General of Sant’Egidio community a body mediating between the government and the SSOMA said they are working out mechanisms to ensure the delegates travel safely to Rome for the talks.

This comes after a member of the National Salvation Front allied to Gen Thomas Cirillo was killed in Kampala-Uganda.  Gen. Abraham Wana was attacked at his Kampala home in April.
