In this Episode we hear stories and interviews from people in Brewarrina NSW. Brewarrina is located in the Outback of NSW between Bourke, Walgett and Lightning Ridge. Brewarrina is where the Barwon River flows through the oldest man-made structure on earth, the “Ngunnhu” (fish traps).

Baiame’s Ngunnhu Festival returns again in 2022 to the banks of the Barwon River in Brewarrina- the lifeblood of the Ngemba, Baranbinja, Morowari, Kula, Laualko, Ualarai, Kamilaroi, Kamu, and Paarkinji communities!

Lisa Wright tells us her story of arriving in Weilmoringle NSW as the new principal of the Weilmoringle Public School.  Weilmoringle is located North of Brewarrina, situated on the banks of the Culgoa River and has a population of about 70 people. Weilmoringle or Wayilmarrangkal means 'old man saltbush' in the Muruwari language.
