Photo: The photo archive by Rolf Sundt sr. (1881-1956) was handed over to the Norwegian Folk Museum in 2010. Sundt practiced as a court lawyer in Oslo and was an avid amateur photographer. From approx. 1920 until his death, he lived in Thomas Heftyes gt. 42 [a sweet address]. In 1918 he had a cabin built in Voksenlia, which was later sold. The negative archive consists of over 1000 photos from the period 1900 to 1953, primarily family photos from everyday life, parties, holidays and leisure, but also inter al.  pictures from Farsund from before the city fire in 1901 and the reconstruction thereafter.  Sundt photographed a lot in the area around his birthplace Farsund where he often vacationed, first and foremost in Loshavn. Descendants of Sundt have linked valuable information to the archive, and most of the photos have information about dating, the place pictured and who is pictured. When his son Rolf Sundt jr. died in 2009, he and his son Bjørn Rosted Sundt had together reviewed most of the collection and set up photo descriptions. The Norwegian Folk Museum has also photographed the photo albums where the pictures are pasted, which gives a good context to the motifs..
