Daily Dose @ 5: Nearly 100,000 pregnant women given COVID-19 jab date, NZ's Medsafe approves Pfizer vaccine for 12-15 year olds

Among the headlines for Monday, 21 June, 2021, a total of 98,166 pregnant women who registered for the Covid-19 vaccine, have been given their vaccination appointments, National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.
 
Khairy said the appointments are being issued in stages according to the estimated date of delivery, whereby last weekend, we gave 3,000 appointments in Kuala Lumpur and 224 in Perlis.
 
Also, New Zealand's medical regulator, Medsafe has given provisional approval for 12 to 15-year-olds to receive the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccination. However, the young Kiwis will not be able to get the jab until the Government gives the final tick of approval.
