Among the headlines for Friday, 9 July 2021, Malaysia recorded the highest number of COVID-19 cases in a single day, with 9,180 cases, surpassing the 9, 020 figure about a month ago.

 

Also, Pfizer and BioNTech are developing a Covid-19 booster shot that will target the Delta variant, following concerns that the highly transmissible strain may be more resistant to vaccines.
