Am I The Jerk? Rescinded Grocery Offer

Is she the jerk?? She offered to pay for a mom's groceries when she found out she would be short. Then the mom added a bottle of wine and steak after the offer. That's when she rescinded her offer to pay! She wants to know is she a jerk for doing that??
