Hungarian beach reimagined by Andrew Tulloch.

"When I initially chose the sound, I envisaged making a melodic summery piece which would float over the recording, but in the end it turned out rather darker sounding.

"The quiet droning boat sound in the background provides an interesting counterpoint to the natural wave sounds, and put me in mind of the Danube's history of trade. The overall character of the piece is intended to reflect the river's nature/industry duality.

"The original recording is used throughout, mildly processed, as well as a synth sound made from the boat noise, and drum sounds built out of wave snippets. I liked the one piece of recognisable human voice (laugh?), and it ended up becoming a filtered rhythmic loop. Additional sounds included some soft synths, and improvised guitar/ebow notes."
