International day of the girl child.

The girl child is said to be among the vulnerable in society and the narrative can be said to be worse for those in Africa. 

Today, 11 October is the international day of the girl child. This year, girls globally are celebrating their diversities and calling out where progress still needs to be made. To give us a South Sudan perspective on the matter, Miraya breakfast this morning featured John Garang – Program Implementation Manager at PLAN International, Celina Grace Peter – Director for Child Welfare (MGCSW) and a young girl Diko Janet Isaac.
