Black History Month 2021

Episode 87,   Oct 15, 2021, 09:00 AM

Our first episode of Grimshaw Speakers for this academic year is in honour of Black History Month. In this conversation, Kenya Lawrence, a 3rd-year IR and Chinese student, interviewed Dr Tres-Ann Kremer, Director of the Institute of Criminal Justice and Security at the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. They discussed the reasons behind the disparity in Black and minority students studying International Relations as opposed to their White counterparts, as well as the experience of individuals from a  small state working in the international arena, and any bias that may entail.
