PLP wing of the OPP umbrella group denies reaching consensus on sharing of State parliament seats

The leader of People Liberal party, one of the parties in the Other Political Parties block, Peter Mayen, has refuted a statement attributed to the group’s spokesperson Albino Akol Atak, that they had reached a formula for allocating seats in the state assemblies.

Mayen said the statement was an individual opinion and not the official stand of the OPP leadership.

He clarified that they have called for a meeting to ensure any distribution of seats is inclusive.

On Tuesday, OPP spokesperson Albino Akol Atak said some parties within the block agreed on a formula to share the seats allocated to OPP in each state, but the Umbrella group has rejected it.
