Charlotte Jones, RNIB's National Involvement Coordinator shares the latest opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to get involved in.

Opportunities highlighted this week included:

Help with accessible gaming for blind and partially sighted people - RNIB survey to understand people’s experiences, needs and preferences in relation to playing games, how enjoyable existing games are to play for people with a vision impairment and how this compares with sighted gamers.

RNIB is also looking for your thoughts on the service you receive when attending an appointment at a specialist clinic about your sight loss.  Unfortunately, these services are patchy and not everyone receives the same standard of support and the RNIB with your help wants to improve them so that people can access the support that they need - at the time they need it. We need to hear your experiences of this service (also known as ‘low vision services’), to help us understand what these standards should be.

To find out more about these items and how you can get involved with RNIB Connect Voices do visit https://www.rnib.org.uk/rnibconnect/connect-voices.
