Aoife O'Leary, CEO, Opportunity Green

Aoife O’Leary is a lawyer and economist who has been working on climate change for many years, and has just started her own organisation, Opportunity Green, to continue that journey. In the first of ship.energy’s series of podcasts focussing on the key challenges and issue to be debated at COP 26, Aoife explains how her new venture will address shipping’s decarbonisation by identifying and unlocking the economic opportunities from tackling climate change. 

As well as shipping, Opportunity Green will focus on the other international transport sector of aviation, and also look more broadly at higher level governance issues such as legal challenges and opportunities, and the transparency of decision-making.
