The Irish and death

Oct 29, 2021, 01:59 PM

Speaker: John Ward

In this piece, Samhain is stripped back to what it started as - a salute to the dead. We look at how death is regarded in Ireland, both the good parts and the emergence of trash documentaries on it. We also look at how this time of year is seen in other parts with a nod to the dead and to the greatest Irish saluter of the departed, James Joyce.
