Episode 1790,   Nov 18, 2021, 02:12 PM

The Chief Executive officer of South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority has dismissed calls for the lifting of a ban on Antonov aircraft.

Captain David Subak Dada argues that the suspension is for safety of the people in South Sudan and is urging the Airline operators to acquire planes that are in good condition and eligible to operate in South Sudan.

The operators are appealing for a 90-day grace period for all aircraft to be brought to standard arguing that a suspension would affect the delivery of vital humanitarian assistance in hard-to-reach areas.
