UN Special Representative urges leaders to prioritize electoral processes

The UN Special Representative to South Sudan is urging the government to handle the formation of the transitional national constitution and planned elections as a matter of urgency.  

Nicholas Haysom told participants at the ongoing governors forum in Juba that building effective political systems requires the collective will of the country’s leaders. 

Mr. Haysom also urged the country’s leaders to urgently complete the formation of a coherent command structure of the security forces.
