The First Vice President Riek Machar Teny says disunity among the people of South Sudan has made it difficult for the country to use its natural resources to propel it towards prosperity.

Dr. Machar was speaking yesterday in Juba during the launch of the General Secretariat of SPLM-IO under theme; “Towards Democratic, United and Prosperous South Sudan”. Machar says South Sudan can only be a prosperous nation, if there is unity and peace where citizens would benefit from services such as roads, farming activities, schools, hospitals, clean drinking water and job opportunities for all.
