Fifteen SPLA -IO forces killed in a recent clash with General Gatwech

SPLA-IO says fifteen of its forces including two officers have been killed in recent clashes at Kor Jala, Maganis and Amut.

SPLA-IO Spokesperson, Col. Lam Paul Gabriel says the latest attack was on Monday when forces loyal to former SPLA-IO chief of staff, General Simon Gatwech invaded SPLA-IO Machar’s position in Amut and overran the garrison.

Col. Lam Paul confirmed that the SPLA-IO loyal to Machar withdrew from Amut in the interest of peace.
