Hillbilly Deadtime Stories Ep 61 Lieutenant James Sutton, Jr

Jan 19, 2022, 10:10 AM

It is not unusual to hear a story in which a loved one pays a visit to his or her family members after their passing
Sometimes though, that spirit is trying to inform their family that maybe there was some foul play involved with their death
There have been a few high-profile cases showcasing this
The most famous of which would be the Greenbriar Ghost in Greenbriar West Virginia
In that instance, Zona Hester Shue died at the hands of her husband in 1897, but it was made to look like an accident.
There was no proper examination of the body and Zone was buried.
Eventually she came to her mother in a series of dreams, explaining how she was killed.
Her body was exhumed and her husband ultimately arrested for the crime.
This was the first case of a ghost’s confession being used in a conviction.
In this episode, you will learn of a similar situation just 10 years later- after the death of Marine Lieutenant James Sutton, Jr
