The moon in daylight

"The original recording of shortwave radio conversations crackling back and forth from Antarctica to an isolated radio operator in New Jersey had a real melancholy, especially when I considered that the radio operator who does most of the talking is now sadly no longer with us.

"The conversation between the two men tends towards the philosophical, and how we are observed different aspects of the same world at the same time. The composition based on this recording is intended to be a floating, melancholic, introspective piece, as if we were tuning into the music of the spheres, picking up the movements of the Earth from its most isolated corners, at the same time as glimpsing this private conversation that connected two men across the airwaves more than 45 years ago."
