Coonalpyn's 2022 Young Citizen of the Year is community-minded resident Lachie Jacobs (17).
When he was just 14 years-old, Lachie’s passion project for school was to coordinate a 'hay run' for regional communities experiencing drought, which had measurable success.
Lachie is also a competitive bowler at the local bowling club, is a player with the Tintinara Football Club and does community working bees with his father.
