Government: We need strong environmental laws to protect our wetlands.

Government says South Sudan’s wetlands are under threat from human activity due to ignorance among the citizens. 

Undersecretary at the Ministry of Environment Africano Barthel, says the environmental sector needs a lot of investment to protect the natural resources. Barthel says government has introduced several policies but is faced with the challenge of implementation due to lack of resources. 

He was speaking during the Miraya breakfast show this morning.
