Florence's Galleria Commerciale Santa Maria Novella reimagined by Michael Lilley.
"I was (arcanely) motivated by the Xmas present of an Akai MPD from my (kind & generous) sister-in-law to make a breakbeat.
All the sounds within my reimagined work were taken from the original field recording. The source of the discordant piano stabs near the beginner can be heard fairly distinctly towards the end of the piece.
Once I was satisfied with the breakbeat, I then re-wove the field recording back.
Hardware used: MPD232 & a MacBook Pro.
Software used: MPC Beats, T-RackS 5 & Bitwig.
