This week on Presents the guys sit down with Geoff Melkonian and Josh Joplin, two members of Atlanta’s legendary Josh Joplin Group. They are getting ready for a reunion show at City Winery Atlanta on April 23rd 2022 celebrating the 20th anniversary of their album Useful Music.
If you were into the Atlanta music scene in the late nineties and early 00’s you couldn’t miss the name Josh Joplin and if you were watching TV at the time you couldn’t miss hearing the JJG on many television soundtracks.
Josh and Geoff take us back to the beginnings of the band (and group) with stories of scary drives to appear on the DAVID LETTERMAN Show and hanging out with the SNL cast on their Conan appearance and fondly remembering the classic time period in the Atlanta music scene around the turn of the century.
