It's two-fer Tuesday as we deliver a second straight edition of the "bite-size history lesson" series What Was First, which explores the first release on iconic record labels.
Today, on a second-straight suggestion from listener David Leedy, Patrick takes a look at the first record released on Slash Records, a highly influential label born out of the Los Angeles punk boom.
The label, which evolved from Slash Magazine, put out their very first record in May of 1978: a 7" EP by the Germs titled "Lexicon Devil."
