This week on The Mark White Show, I have Whitfield County Deputy Jeff Diak on the program to share his recent donation of a kidney to a fellow deputy, David Headrick. I also have Robert Michaels, founder of Serve & Protect and Serve & Protect Spouses. Since 2011, Serve & Protect has been facilitating trauma services for public safety professionals struggling with invisible wounds, emotional scars from traumatic incidents from the job. To date, they have helped about 5,000 heroes.
In the second segment, I will be talking to Rosemary Blackmon with Alabama Hospital Association to talk about Scale Back Alabama and the effort to promote a healthy lifestyle for Alabamians.
During The Mary Faye Headrick Good Deed Segment, I will he joined by my longtime friend, Donna Pridmore, who is battling cancer. I wanted Donna to have an opportunity to share her story as an encouragement and inspiration to others and she agreed to come on. As Donna said in a recent email, “I have been able to let my light shine in a manner I could not have done without cancer. Most importantly of all, I have been brought to new spiritual levels because of this disease, levels you can't fully comprehend unless you're facing similar trials.”
I hope that you will make plans to tune in and to share this special upcoming show with your friends and neighbors. See below for ways to tune in.
