Government imposes taxes on import and export of livestock and livestock products

The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries has imposed taxes on the importation and exportation of livestock and livestock products. The fees ranging from between $25-$100 USD covers cattle, sheep, chicken, livestock, fish and fish products.
The Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Onyoti Adigo Nyikwech says the order intends to curb smuggling, control and combat livestock and fish diseases and protect public health.
Onyoti explained what the importer and exporter are expected to comply with, while dealing in livestock and livestock products.
He spoke to Radio Miraya in this 40" interview.
